Charity Golf Tournament:
Fall, 2006
Hey, avid golfers. Join Singing From The Soul
and our Fall Charity Golf Tournament. This is one of
our organization's major fund raisers and the proceeds
will benefit our Scholarship Fund, and our Fall 2006
and Spring 2007 Classical Voice Training and Development
Program at Texas Southern University (TSU).
Southwyck is a Scottish-links style course. The
course is both challenging and scenic, distinguished by
its rolling hills, grassy knolls, Scottish mounds, pot
bunkers and series of lakes. Southwyck has an
intriguing layout with as many as five tee locations per
hole and various approaches to the greens. Water comes
into play on 13 holes and wind sweeps across the prairie
just like it does in Scotland. Southwyck has been one of
the home courses for the University of Houston golf
team, which has won an unprecedented 16 NCAA team
titles.
